Students in grades four through six may enroll in an elective hula class which focuses on ancient and modern Hawaiian dance, under the instruction of Sean Nakayama. Students in grades five and six may enroll in an elective modern jazz class which incorporates contemporary styles of jazz, under the instruction of Lisa Simon. Both dance electives meet three times per week for forty-minute periods.
Lower School students in elective classes are featured in a number of performances throughout the year, including the Winter and Spring Dance Showcases, as well as other school and community events.
