PSAT/SAT 

Cindy Scheinert earned B.A.s in Spanish (’78) and English (’79) from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. She joined the ‘Iolani faculty in the fall of 1980 and spent many years teaching both English and Spanish to students in grades 7-12. While employed by ‘Iolani, she earned an M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College in Vermont by attending summer session courses and spending a one-half year sabbatical in Madrid, Spain.

She began teaching the summer P/SAT Prep course in the summer of 1995, and has taught the course continuously since then. In 1999, Cindy moved to ‘Iolani’s lower school, where she presently teaches 5^th-grade language arts.

 PSAT/SAT 

Amy Yonashiro earned a B.A.in Mathematics from Colorado College and a M.Ed.(Educational Foundations) from the University of Hawaii.  She has been teaching mathematics for 22 years and taught at Seabury Hall (Maui) and Kamehameha Schools (Kapalama campus) before coming to Iolani in 1992.  Currently she teaches Precalculus and AP Calculus AB.
