'Room to Read' book drive
Donating your unused books is easy. Just pack a bag or box of books and put it in your car. Volunteers will pick them up from during the morning drop-off time at both the Lower and Upper School autolines, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
"Room to Read" is a non-profit organization dedicated to literacy and gender equality in education. They work with communities and local governments across Asia and Africa to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among elementary school children while equipping girls with the life skills they’ll need to succeed in school and beyond.
EVERY kind of book is being collected. Through a partnership with "Better World Books," 'Iolani School will find a home for all types and all levels of books, including textbooks, travel books, picture books and novels.
