'Saturday for Service' project

May 19, 2012 - Each month ‘Iolani School students, parents, faculty and staff are invited to take part in a service project in our community on a Saturday morning.

Past "Saturday for Service" projects include planting trees at public elementary schools, working in native Hawaiian fishponds, Christmas arts and crafts at elderly care homes, and environmental preservation projects around the island.

Most projects are family friendly and all of them are great ways to get to give back to the local community and get to know new people. For more information, email Allison Ishii -- aishii [at] iolani [dot] org.
