English 7 is a year-long required English course which offers students a varied and sequential study of reading, writing, and language. Students develop reading skills through short stories, poetry, drama and novels. They develop writing skills through essays, stories, journals and narratives. In both 7th and 8th grades, students examine the structure of the English language and study grammar, usage and mechanics.
