Kevin Aoki ’80 Wins Coach of Year Award
Pacific Lutheran University Women’s Volleyball coach Kevin Aoki ’80 earned his third Northwest Conference Coach of the Year Award after guiding his team to the Conference Co-Championship. Aoki, in his 11th season at the helm, shared the championship with Linfield College, coached by another ‘Iolani alumnus, Shane Kimura ’74. (www.plu.edu – November 6, 2006)
Low ’03 Guides Cougars Past Gonzaga
Washington State junior guard Derrick Low ’03 scored 22 points to lead Washington State past 18th ranked Gonzaga, 76-67. The Cougs, at 8-1 after the contest, are off to one the best starts in school history, thanks largely to Low’s increased scoring. (Honolulu Advertiser – December 6, 2006)
