Orchestra II Wins Highest Marks

On Saturday April 9, thirty-seven orchestras from Hawaii and the mainland participated in the annual Parade of Orchestras. 

Orchestra II received the highest rating of “Superior” in all categories:  Tone Quality, Intonation, Technique, Rhythm, Interpretation, and General Effect.

Performances were adjudicated by Professor Thomas Bingham, Chair of the Dept. of Music at UH Manoa, and Carold Nunez, prominent composer of educational string literature.  Mr. Nunez is the retired director and coordinator of Orchestras in the Denton Independent School District, Denton, Texas.
