Mark Wong '75, President and CEO of Commercial Data Systems (CDS) is
behind the Honolulu Symphony concerts this coming weekend in more ways
than one.
First, his company is the major sponsor of the concert.

Second, the concert features the Hawaii premiere of the gigantic 3-manual, 101-rank
CDS Concert Organ. Celebrated organist, Anthony Newman will solo in the
rarely performed massive orchestral piece, the Symphonie Concertante for
organ and orchestra by Belgian composer Joseph Jongen. This collaboration is
a major event in the symphonic world and should not be missed.
CDS commenced operations in 1985 in Honolulu as a developer of UNIX
software and has grown into one of the top ten Federal IT integrators and
resellers and the largest computer consulting firm in Hawaii.
CDS is also a major sponsor of the arts and arts education in Hawaii. Founder Mark Wong
is a significant contributor to Iolani's Performing Arts Department and an accomplished organist and keyboard artist who performs in numerous venues including the Honolulu Symphony.
Tickets for the Friday Sept. 23 8:00 pm concert and Sunday Sept. 25 4:00 pm
