Each year, 'Iolani's hula students volunteer to entertain at the Na Wahine Hoe finish line to help create an exciting environment. 'Iolani's haumana (students) have helped to attract new sponsors for the women's long distance outrigger canoe race and promote cultural activities. 
This year was no exception.
'Iolani hula students from Dance 1,2,3,4, 2K & 3K all came together on Sunday, September 23 to perform at the finish line of the Na Wahine Hoe.
Thousands gathered in Waikiki to celebrate the amazing accomplishment of long distance paddling from Molokai to Oahu. The dancers added to the excitement with their lively dances that entertained onlookers. 
Crowds gathered and cheered not only for the paddlers but for 'Iolani's talented dancers. Helicopters hovered, news crews shot footage and malihini and tourists alike enjoyed the beautiful sunny afternoon.
