Shakespeare's witty and touching Much Ado About Nothing played in 'Iolani School's Seto Hall to adoring audiences and great applause.
The engaging comedy was performed by a cast of talented students from Nov. 2 - 4.
Set in Messina, this comedy revolves around two sets of lovers: Claudio and Hero, a young and naive couple, and Benedick and Beatrice, a jaded and self-absorbed pair. Both couples fall prey to trickery in different forms. Claudio and Hero's love is put to the test through the evil machinations of Don John, the villian. Benedick and Beatrice are tricked by their friends who see what they cannot - that they are the best match for one another.
Christian Brady '08 and Ashley Higa '08 were brilliant as Benedick and Beatrice. Chaz Silva '09 and Kellee Murayama '08 were amazing as Claudio and Hero. Sala Satakara was hilarious as Dogberry. The entire cast is excellent.
Each line is delive
red with authenticity. Director David Saito stages a milestone performance that will leave audiences applauding for more.
The production crew, likewise, deserved a standing ovation for their outstanding work and professionalism. Bravo!!
