This is one happy team. You could see that these girls have a lot of fun, lots of smiles throughout.

At 20 minutes, Samantha Dacanay sent a perfect crossing path to Dana Gibson to break the ice. 1-0, Raiders.

Although the Raiders maintained a large advantage in possession the score remained the same through the end of the first half.

At about five minutes into the second half , Kai Taniguchi came in fast on the left side and let a hard shot fly from about 20 yards out. The goalie jumped and stretched enough to get her hands on the ball but it squirted through. 2-0, Raiders.

With about two minutes to go in the game, a Pac-5 forward went in on a breakaway. Goalie Jaime Rosenberg came out to challenge her but the forward made a nice move to get around Jaime. Jaime then "tackled" the Pac-5 player. Not a slide tackle, this was a tackle that football coach Wendell Look would have loved! Jaime was hit with a red card and ejected from the game. This was a very smart play though as she saved a certain goal and she didn't hurt the player as it was a very clean tackle.

As it turned out, Pac-5 missed the direct kick on new goalie Kiana Block. The Raiders ran out the clock and went home with a 2-0 victory.
