Soccer Boys Tie Puns

Boys Varsity Soccer Ties Punahou, 1-1

It was a great start to another always exciting contest with the Puns as Keith Lum got right in on the goalie in the first two minutes.

The goalie was caught and did the only thing he could which was to pull Keith to the ground. I'm guessing this would have brought a penalty shot, but as it turned out the ball went right to Jordan Lee who had an open net. 1-0, Raiders.

For the rest of the half, the two teams played pretty evenly with only a few shots on goal and most play limited to the middle of the field.

In the second half, the Puns started to dominate play and were able to keep the ball mostly in the Raider end. This eventually cost the Raiders as the Puns were able to convert a long direct shot that one could only describe as "seeing eye" as it found a small opening above Chris Otani's outstretched hands. 1-1.

In the final eight minutes, neither team could mount much of an attack. Final score, 1-1.
