Int. Red Boys Soccer Comes Oh So Close
by Al Linsky
The Kamehameha Blue team had only one goal scored against them the whole season and were undefeated. Awesome? Yes.
Our Reds only had one loss and had shown they could play with anyone.

The weather was beautiful at the Kapalama campus on Monday afternoon. The sun was setting but it was still warm.
It started out about as badly as possible as the Warrior left wing cut down the sideline, maneuvered between the defense and shot low and hard. 30 seconds from the opening gun and it was 1-0, Warriors.
The Raiders' defense tightened.
There would be no more scoring until 28 minutes of the first half when Justin Kim found Tylar Peltier right in front. 1-1.
In the second half there were quite a few good shots, with the Warriors having a slight advantage, but none found pay dirt and the game went into overtime.
With 20 seconds left in the overtime, the Raiders were called for a penalty kick. The Warriors made it count and chalked up their (at least) second consecutive ILH Intermediate championship.
