Boys Basketball Wraps Up State Berth, 49-45

The last time these teams met, the Raiders pulled out a tense, 41-40 victory over the Puns.
The Raiders needed to win again to guarantee a second place ILH finish and berth at the upcoming HHSAA State Championships. And, this time they needed to do it at Punahou.
Before a crowd of about 1,000, pretty evenly split between Raiders and Buffanblu supporters, the Raiders came out on top again.
But, it wasn't easy.
Most of the game was very close, just a few points lead either way.
But, at the start of the second half the Puns went on a run to pull ahead by 8, 32-24. The Raiders came right back though, after a timely and effective Doc timeout, to grab back the lead and keep it until the end.
Three point shooting was excellent with Kainoa Chu getting 3, Kela Marciel 2, Jarrett Arakawa 2 and Brandon Ball 2. The final score was 49-45.
