Punahou has already secured the first ILH berth to the State Championships by winning the regular season.

The second ILH berth goes to the winner of the ILH playoffs. Competing for this second berth are 'Iolani (seeded 1), Kamehameha (2), Mid-Pacific (3) and Sacred Hearts (4).

In the first round the Raiders played Sacred Hearts, while the Warriors played the Owls.

The Lancers are a good team and have given the Raiders a lot of trouble, having won once in this same 'Iolani gym a few weeks ago.

This time the Raiders somewhat controlled the game, mainly by shooting the three well and getting a good scoring night from four players. Kylie Maeda had 11 points, Lori Yamashita had 12, Georgette Lopes-Liutolo had 14 and Lahela Usui had 8.

But, even after this balanced attack and holding and 8-10 point lead throughout most of the game, the Lancers clawed back at the end and were only down by two with less than two minutes to go. The Raiders held on, though, to finish with a 47-43 hard fought win.

Next up is Kamehameha on Friday. The winner moves on to States, the loser is done for the season.
