Everyone's heard the cliche about it's too bad that someone has to lose when there is a great contest.
Thursday's showdown between the JV Black and Red teams was one of those matches. As many of you know, Black vs Red matches are always on the top of my priority list as they tend to be lots of fun with everyone knowing each other so well.

In this case the teams were amazingly even. All three games were close.

In the first game, the Reds got out to a modest lead but the Blacks came back at the end to pull out a 26-24 win.

For a while it seemed that the Blacks would finish it off in two games as they went out to a quick lead in the second. But the Reds battled back and took the second game with a 25-18 score.

The third game was the closest of all with ties at 8-8, 18-18, 21-21 and 25-25. It was the Reds, though, that were able to pull it off getting those last 2 points and walking away with the match after a final 27-25 victory.

What a wonderful way to spend a Thursday evening!
