Boys' Tennis Tied for First

The boys' varsity tennis team is currently tied for first place with Punahou with a record of 9-1 and four matches remaining.
 
If the two teams remain tied at the end of the second round, they will play off to determine the ILH champions.
 
On Monday the boys won an important match against the third place Warriors of Kamehameha on the Iolani courts.
 
The final score was 4-1. Below are the individual matches with scores:
 
Iolani junior Daniel Adachi beat Bryce Silva 6-2, 6-1 at first singles.
 
Iolani seniors Torin Ching & Jon Okada won an exciting match 6-1, 7-5 over Nathan Nakatsuka & Joshua Oshiro at first doubles.
 
The second doubles team featured senior Eric Cunningham teaming up with sophomore Marcus Pearman and winning 6-4, 6-2 over Noah Wong & Matt Mendoza.
 
Also winning was the third doubles as senior Thomas Robillard and freshman Braxton Sato beat Sean Soon & Duke Groder 6-2, 6-1.
 
The Raiders' lone setback was the close three set loss of senior Michael Okai to Sean Tomas 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.
