Volleyball
In a year that has seen more coaching changes at Iolani than most, the volleyball teams now have new head coaches, one new to a team, the other new to the school.
Boys' coach Luis Ramirez has moved over to coach the girls, and the boys welcomed Mike Among from Kamehameha to the first seat on their bench.
Ramirez won a state championship with the boys in 2003 and has been at the helm of the boys' program for the past four years.
Among was an assistant at Kamehameha and helped the Warriors to two state titles.
The two coaches met their new teams on Wednesday and received warm welcomes from their players.
Crosss Country
One of the most successful track and cross country coaches in the history of Iolani, Greg Char, has announced that he will be moving to Campbell High School next year.
Char coached the women's cross country team to five ILH championships and four state titles.
Water Polo
Following the resignation of Mark Cornish last fall, two waterpolo coaching positions boys and girls, remain to be filled.
Linda Look is currently serving as interim coach for the girls.
An announcement from the athletic office is expected soon, according to AD Carl Schroers.
