The boys' varsity volleyball team continued its winning ways by taking second in the Longy Okumoto Volleyball Tournament, held at Pearl City. They went 14 and 2 in the sixteen games they played, winning their pool on two consecutive days.
The final was a tough 25-23 loss to a determined, upset-minded HBA team coached by Iolani alumnus Teoni Obrey, '92.
This was the team's second tournament of the preseason.
They swept to the championship in the Waimea Invitational Tournament on Aug. 18-20.
