JV Red Falls To Punahou Gold 22-25 and 24-26
by Al Linsky
This was a great match between two evenly-matched teams.
For all the fans who came early for the varsity thriller to follow, they were treated to an intense, well played two games.
I heard more than one fan say (including me) that they wished the match had gone to three games because the points were so much fun to watch.
The first game went from 8-6, 15-14, 17-23, 22-24 to 22-25. The second game went 13-11, 17-19, 22-24 and 24-26.

'Iolani JV Tennis Wins 5-0 Over HBA

It was a nice day for tennis.
Not too hot, no rain, a little breezy, but not enough to blow the ball around too much.
The JV team has only one loss this season, to Punahou.
The Punahou contest was a very close, intense match that included two double tiebreakers that went the wrong way.
Wednesday's opponent was HBA, who were very competitive, especially in two of the matches, but in the end went down, 5-0.
The Raiders are now in second place.
The top four teams make the playoffs. In the first round, 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3.
If all goes to form, it will be Iolani getting another shot at Punahou for the ILH title.
If that's the way it goes, and I think it will, you'll want to catch that match. It will be a great one!
