Int. Soccer Black Bows
Girls Int Soccer: Kam Blue 5, Iolani Black 0
by Al Linsky
This was one of those games where I needed to stay by our goalie to get the good shots.
Kam Blue dominated from the opening gun to the end.

Our girls continued to battle, never gave up, but the Kam Blue team (the stronger of two Kam teams) was the better team on this nice day for soccer at Ala Wai Field.
On a few occasions, it looked like Malia Brennan would be able to get free, but the Kamehameha defense always seemed to close down each threat when she got close to the goal.
But this is what the intermediate division is for. Lots of learning going on out there. And playing better teams tends to accelerate the process.
For the record, the Kam scores were as follows:
1. About 10 minutes into the first period a beautiful header by #8.
2. At 15 minutes a breakaway by #2 with the assist going to Taylor Silva.
3. Right before the half ended, #4 from about 12 yards out from the middle.
4. In the second half, #2 passed to #8 who scored a nice backdoor goal off her body.
5. With about 10 minutes to go, #13 came charging up the right side and shot from about 20 yards into the left corner.
The shots on goal and time of possession matched the final score.
