Boys' Int. Soccer Beat Puns

Boys' Int. Red Soccer Beats Punahou Gold 1-0

It was a great day for soccer at Kapiolani Park. Cool, only a slight breeze, dry fields and a worthy opponent in Punahou Gold.

The Reds controlled the ball in a big way as the Buffanblu were repeatedly turned away as they tried to get close to the Raider goal. On the other end, the Reds took many good shots but couldn't put it in the net.

After an almost totally dominating first half, 'Io lanistill had nothing to show for it as the score remained 0-0 at the break.

I've seen many games like this, especially against Punahou, where the Raiders dominate but the Buffanblu pull out the game at the end with a late score.

Not this time! With about 15 minutes gone in the second half, Troy Esaki found himself in front of the net with a great opening and made sure of the score. That's all the Raiders needed as they continued to control play until the end.

The score could have been much higher, but a win is a win.
