JV Basketball Falls To Kamehameha, 51-40
November 29, 2008

The JV boys basketball team is made up exclusively of 9th and 10th graders. On this rainy, cloudy, dreary day, the Raiders had a great challenge as the Kamehameha Warriors paid a visit to the lower gym.

The first quarter was marked by a lot of missed shots, the Raiders missing more than the Warriors as the quarter ended 11-6 in favor of the Warriors.
After a small run that brought 'Iolani back within 3, the Warriors pulled away to a 26-17 lead at the half.
The Raiders kept battling, even as they struggled with their shooting, using some pressure defense to get back in the game and tie it at 33-33 on a big 3 pointer by Adam Ching right as the third quarter ended.
This was as good as it would get, though, as the Warriors pulled away again winning the game by 11 at 51-40.
The intensity was there for both teams, but the Raiders are probably going to need to shoot a little better to beat a quality team like Kamehameha.
