'Iolani JV Boys Soccer Falls To Pac-5, 4-2

Although the Raiders held a ball control advantage, there was no scoring for the first 30 minutes on a beautiful day for soccer at Ala Wai field.

Pac-5 then got off a good shot from the left side about 25 yards out that made it over the goalie to land in the far right corner. 1-0, Pac-5.

Then, as I was making notes on this first goal, I looked up when I heard a cheer about 20 seconds later. 2-0, Pac-5.

One minute later, Justin Kim made a nice rush down the right side to get one back. 2-1, Pac-5.

Jeff Kawahara then hit paydirt from about 15 yards out to tie it at 2-2 and that's how the half would end.

There was no more scoring until about 25 minutes of the second half when a Pac-5 forward got a pretty shot off the outside of his right foot to the lower right corner. 3-2, Pac-5.

A back door goal off a corner kick with about 5 minutes remaining in the game pretty much sealed the victory for Pac-5 at 4-2, and that's how it would end.

This was a fun, very competitive game with Pac-5 winning as they did a better job taking advantage of the opportunities presented them.
