Int. Red Soccer Wins 4-2 Over Punahou Blue

I always expect a good competitive match when the opponent is Punahou. This game didn't start out that way though.
I was just getting set up, about one minute into the game, when Logan Yamamoto hit pay dirt. 1-0, Raiders.
At 13 minutes, after keeping the ball mostly in the Punahou end, Logan struck again. This time it was a long shot, about 25 yards out, that the goalie got both hands on but couldn't control. 2-0, Raiders.
At about 20 minutes, Logan put a corner kick in just the right place for Kasey Chun to run it in. 3-0, Raiders.
In the second half at 4 minutes, Logan set up Adam Lee-Soon who got off a good shot. It didn't go in but his next shot off the rebound did. 4-0, Raiders.
One minute later the Puns got that one back. 4-1, Raiders.
This goal energized the Puns and they started to play better. Their passes were more accurate and they were able to hold on to the ball for longer periods. This resulted in one more goal for the Puns as time ran out. Final score, 4-2, Raiders.

Varsity Boys Roll Over Mid-Pacific 3-0

The Owls of MPI made it a good match, but the Raiders had a bit too much on this cloudy, dreary day at Iolani field.
The Raiders had the advantage in field position for most of the first 23 minutes, but there was no score until Kevin Fung scored on a direct kick from 25 yards to the right corner. 1-0, Raiders.
All of one minute later, Ian Watson, who had just entered the game, got free right in front after a high set pass from Kevin and made it look easy. 2-0, Raiders.
Although the Raiders pretty much maintained control for the rest of the game, there was no more scoring until there were just a few minutes left. Blaine Gonsalves hit the upper right corner with a blast from 30 yards out in the center. 3-0, and that's how it ended.
