There are also 15 at-large and 20 Presidential Scholars in the Arts. Benjamin Massenburg of King Kekaulike High on Maui was named Hawaii's other scholar.

All winners demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, artistic excellence, leadership, citizenship and service at school and in the community. Each scholar, accompanied by his or her chosen teacher, will be flown to Washington D.C. from June 23 to 27 to be honored.
