The annual 'Iolani School Summer Fourth of July Parade ignited patriotism among students, parents, teachers and friends.
The 19th annual promenade took place on July 3rd as kindergartners, first graders and second graders marched through the Diamond Head side of campus and into the One Team Field House.
Students waved homemade banners and wore hats and visors they made in class. Following the parade, a program featuring students in third to sixth grades read original poetry and sang lively songs.
A special treat was the national anthem by opera singer Kip Wilburn. He also dazzled the audience by singing "Some Enchanted Evening" from the musical South Pacific.
A moment of silence was also held for the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
The parade's theme, Happy Birthday America, unleashed a sea of red, white and blue at 'Iolani. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July holiday!
