The One Team Field House was transformed into a circus tent as Lower School students gathered to laugh and cheer for the Purina Incredible Dog Team and The Backyard Circus.
Kindergartners through third graders watched the circus master turn classmates into animals that jumped through hoops and butterflies that fluttered their wings. One classmate was even "shot out"of a canon, miraculously appearing in the arms of computer teacher Dalton Sue who "caught" the human ball.
Students also watched two Australian collies who performed by catching frisbees in midair, jumping through their trainer's arms, and going air borne.
The Backyard Circus and the Purina Incredible Dog Team will perform this weekend at the Honolulu Centennial Festival at Magic Island.
Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann thanked the performers and invited everyone to the festival where they will see more dazzling entertainment.
