The kindergartners, first and third graders created works of art to commemorate Chinese New Year. The artwork used Chinese dragons in a variety of mediums including watercolors, oil pastels, 3-D sculptures, and pen and pencil drawings. The Lower School students' creations expressed their feelings towards the upcoming Chinese year of the rat as it relates to the theme titled, Dragon the Rat in for 2008.
The art show is a collaboration between the kindergarten and art teachers, Mrs. Kathe Warner and Mrs. Cheri Keefer. Dragon the Rat in for 2008 will be on display at the Gallery on the Pali, 2500 Pali Highway, one block makai of Jack Lane, until February 15, 2008.
