Aloha Mrs. 'Music' Chun

The Lower School paid tribute to Mrs. Norma Chun at the final K-6 chapel service this week.  Mrs. Chun is retiring after 26 years of teaching music.  Having taught thousands of students the joy of music, she was showered with leis and gifts of appreciation from students in kindergarten through grade 6.  Upper School students Akari Hatanaka, Joey Fala, and Kelsi Hirai also honored her and related fond memories from the years when she taught them.

Mrs. Chun was also bestowed the greatest gift she could ask for, that was "to fill the chapel with song."  The students dedicated to her and sang, "May You Always Have a Song."  The lyrics were engraved on a plaque and presented to Mrs. Chun.

May your life be filled with song.
And may your friends all sing along.
May your heart be true and strong.
May you always have a song . . .
