Musicians from the Honolulu Symphony shared their talent and musical prowess with second graders. A quintet using stringed instruments including violin, viola, cello and bass performed beautiful music from different lands. They told stories about the music and talked about the instruments.
Students asked questions and enjoyed being up close to the instruments; in some cases they were able to touch them. The second graders were even able to perform for the Symphony muscians using Orff instruments.
