On the morning of November 16, first grade students participated in many exciting activity centers planned by their parents for Pilgrim Celebration Day. Hands-on games and tasks, many of which were derived from 17th century activities, filled their morning and enriched an interdisciplinary thematic unit on Pilgrims.
These “Pilgrims,” along with their kindergarten “Native American” friends and special guests, then enjoyed a singular lunch-time feast that included sharing, fellowship and gratefulness.
