Kindergarten Korner

Friday morning, December 10, was an eventful time for over 150 grandparents and their grandchildren.  Following a special program in the chapel put on by the kindergartners, the grandparents had the opportunity to see the children's work, meet their classmates and teachers, and enjoy the students' art work in the classrooms.  A sugar plum tea (which resembled a banquet!) on the lanai gave everyone a chance to visit with each other and savor these special moments.

The festivities continued on Monday, December 13, when the children went to Honolulu Hale to say, "Mele Kalikimaka" to Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy the whimsical trees, wreaths and decorations.  The children also visited the Honolulu academy of Arts where they visited two galleries displaying art from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance portraying the Nativity.  Then Parasol Puppets performed a show based on familiar Christmas carols and songs.
