Honors Day Tradition

Each fall, Honors Day ceremonies are held in St. Alban's Chapel for Upper School and Lower School. This tradition pays tribute to students who excell in 'Iolani's various curriculms while sharing their achievements with their peers and teachers. This fall ceremony acknowledges students' work in the previous 2007-08 school year.

(Spring Honors Day, held each May, will honor the achievements in the 2008-09 year for the Senior Class and Sixth Grade Class.)

Honors Day for ninth and tenth grades was held on September 16th, for eleventh and twelfth grades on September  18, and for seventh and eighth grades on September 22.

Dr. Val Iwashita congratulates recipients of Headmaster's Certificates and Top Student awards, while academic department heads distribute subject and special awards. College book awards sponsored by generous donors are also presented to students.

The senior prefects lead the Honors Day ceremony.

Congratulations to all students, whether you excel in academics, athletics or the arts!
