Both the varsity and JV math teams placed first at meet 6 held at Mililani High this past Saturday.
Led by perfect scorers Aaron Fong (12) and Robert Shimizu (12), the varsity amassed 259 points to Punahou's 229 and McKinley's 227. The other team members were Richard Chang (9), Jerrald Chau (12), Hao Chen (9), Scott Kaneshiro (12), Leslie Kim (12), Nick Moriwaki (12), Jessi Saylors (11) and Craig Yugawa (11).
The JV team of Sean Cockey (10), Anders Lee (10), Teresa Ou (9) and Mark Williams (10) scored 66 points to Kamehameha's 57 and Punahou's 41.
Both teams have commanding overall leads going into the final meet of the season. Meet 7 will be held on April 19 at Windward Community College.
