Making good use of the Discoverers' Day holiday from school a group of intrepid hikers from tackled the Mariner’s Ridge Trail in Hawai‘i Kai.
Conditions were muddy and breezy early on, but became progressively hotter and drier as the sun drove away the clouds.
Fortunately the bulk of the climbing was done during the cooler part of the day.
