Class Visits Ronald McDonald

The Economics & Social Entrepreneurship classes learned about and visited the Ronald McDonald House.  Volunteer Coordinator, Michael Ahakuelo came to 'Iolani School and spoke to the classes.  Students learned how the organization was created, who it cares for, and how it gets funded.

The following day, the students went on a fieldtrip to the Ronald McDonald House on Judd Hillside Road.  Students were split up into 3 groups to clean the house, bake cookies for the residents, and make luggage tags for the residents.

"It was a lot of fun, easy to do, and it made me feel good to know that we were helping these families out.  Volunteering there is now something that I want to do on my own," said senior Ka'ili Taniguchi.
