This summer ‘Iolani School presents a junior golf development opportunity never before offered – training with PGA Award Recipient & Top 100 Teacher, Brad Brewer!
Brad established a place for himself in Player Development when he co-founded the Arnold Palmer Golf Academies with the King of Golf, Arnold Palmer, his childhood idol and mentor of over three decades.
Prior to devoting his career to player development, Brad was an assistant pro at Turtle Bay spending his time off playing in Aloha Section events. After completing an assignment for Palmer in Australia, Brad competed on the Australasian tour. He returned to Orlando, Florida and opened the first Arnold Palmer Golf Academy at Bay Hill in 1990. Brad also helped develop distance learning technology still utilized today, and served as president of the first college preparatory boarding school for aspiring golfers. In 2004, the Brad Brewer Golf Academy opened at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.
Junior golfers, tour players and corporate executives choose Brad as their teacher and coach.
"Teaching golf is not about a one swing fits all,” shares Brad, "Natural talents and strengths must be identified in order to build upon these through sound fundamentals found in all great golfers."
Further, Brad believes the game of golf we play as a whole, challenging the course by executing one shot at a time. However, in developing one’s game it is necessary to view the game in four specific areas: Full Swing Fundamentals, The Scoring Zone, Course Management and Practice Like a Pro.
Your junior golfer will experience it all! In a fun learning environment hosted at the world famous Ko Olina Golf Club, using proven methods and practical applications through challenging competitions on and off the golf course. Daily itinerary will include: Scoring Zone Skills. Full Swing Technique practicing core foundational drills and shot making. Flightscope Launch Monitor Technology, V1 Computer Swing Analysis enhancing skills assessments, augmented feedback and transfer learning techniques. Tactical Skills and pre-gaming, on and off course mental disciplines. Golf specific fit4Golf training. Organized group challenges and competitions.

Have you ever wondered what life is like at a boarding school? How are the classes taught? What is it like living with a roommate? How can you get the most of your experience with so many opportunities in the schedule? This program is specifically designed for students who are considering the transition to boarding school. Interdisciplinary classes and community building events target individual growth to allow students to adapt to the Prep school lifestyle, in an engaging and safe learning environment.
Key foundations of the program
Interdisciplinary learning is the key to critical thinking. A student might analyze literature and the components of history, politics, and arts that influenced the writing of that time. Our students will learn to think broadly but with focused analytical thinking.
Good character and a strong moral compass are equally as important as high scores and good grades. Being a global citizen is a requirement for success in life. Our students will learn to focus on two selves; when they are alone and when they are with others. Through various activities, students will build develop their character while stretching their comfort zones.
The ability to communicate with adults and peers is vital in everyday life. Students will be given the opportunity to develop their communication skills formally and informally throughout the program.
