Athletic Training Room Services

The Athletic Training Room is located on the ground level of the Father Kenneth A. Bray Athletic Complex.

MISSION STATEMENT

Athletic training is practiced by athletic trainers, health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of student athletes. Athletic training encompasses injury/illness prevention, evaluation, emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation of acute/chronic medical conditions. The long term goal is to return the student athlete back to full competitive activity in the quickest and safest manner possible.

Hours of Operation:

During the school year the Athletic Training Room is open (M-F) at noon and closes after the last on campus athletic activity is complete. Saturday and holiday hours will be determined by the athletic activities scheduled. The Athletic Training Room will be open (M-F), 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the summer.

Concussion Statement: On July 3, 2012, Act 197 (12), Relating to Concussions, was signed into law. One of the key points of this bill is the education of students, student athletes, parents, sports officials, school faculty and staff, and school administrators of the signs and symptoms of a concussion and what to do if someone demonstrates any of these signs or symptoms. Act 197 (12) is written for students and student athletes 14-18 years of age, ‘Iolani School is currently working to include the entire school, K-12, on concussion education and awareness.
