The construction of the Arrillaga Student Center is not expected to greatly impact normal traffic congestion in the neighborhood.

The primary entry point to the construction site for equipment, vehicles and workers will be along La‘au Place, just after the tennis courts.

LOWER SCHOOL AUTOLINES: Both the K-1 Autoline (near the corner of La‘au Street and La‘au Place) and the main Lower School Autoline (along La‘au Place) are not expected to be impacted during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods.

UPPER SCHOOL AUTOLINE: The Upper School Autoline and Weinberg Building parking structure are not expected to be impacted during the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods.

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION

The typical construction work day will be Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To minimize congestion, our general contractor, Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. (ACK), plans to avoid work that will affect the Lower School and Upper School Autolines during peak hours.

NOTES:

  • Steps will be taken to avoid traffic congestion from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. during Summer Programs
  • There potentially could be some work on weekends or school holidays. ‘Iolani School will be notified and communicate that information.
